Diane Hammell, At-Large Council Member
Diane was elected on November 4, 2025 for the at-large city council position.
Family
Diane is a Starmont High School graduate and after high school she then went on to get her associate degree in accounting. In 2001 Diane received her Bachelor's degree in accounting from Upper Iowa. Diane has been a life long Northeast Iowa resident and grew up on a family farm near Lamont. She has proudly lived in Manchester since 1978.
Work History
Diane had a thirty-eight year career in banking, retiring in from my position as Chief Financial Officer at F&M Bank in Manchester in 2016. She then worked as an accounting assistant for Blessed Trinity Cluster & St. Mary School for six years. She currently works at Hanson Law Office part-time.
Community Involvement
Diane has been very actively involved in her community for numerous years. She has served on the Castle Theater Board as President, St. Mary's finance council, Good To Great Visioning committee, co-chair of the Manchester White Water Park campaign, Manchester City Board of Adjustment, Good Neighbor Society as Board President, City of Manchester Planning and Zoning commission, Manchester Library Board. Currently, Diane is serving on the Manchester Vitality Endowment board of directors, Good Neighbor Society board of directors and Community Childcare Task force.
